About the author

Ben Lerwill is an award-winning travel writer and children's book author, living in a small village in England with his family and sporadically obedient dog. Many of his children's books echo his passion for globetrotting and his experience in his work as a travel writer. Wild Family was named Children's Book of the Week in the Sunday Times, and Around the World in 80 Trees was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize.

Mark Chambers is an author and illustrator of children's picture books and young fiction, living in the French mountains with his partner and two dogs. Mark studied illustration at university and has illustrated books written by Kes Gray, Lucy Rowland, and Charlie Higson to name a few. His work was shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize in 2013, and won the Sheffield Children's Picture Book Prize in the same year.
