Frances Itani has published fourteen books, including award-winning novels, short stories, poetry and childrenтАЩs books. Her 2003 novel Deafening was shortlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Award, won a Commonwealth WritersтАЩ Prize and has been published in seventeen territories. Frances is a Member of the Order of Canada and a three-time winner of the CBC Literary Award. She currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario, and reviews for the Washington Post.
Genevi├иve Despr├йs completed a degree in industrial design at the Universit├й de Montr├йal but decided instead to pursue her passion for drawing. After spending a few years in Europe exploring different techniques, Genevi├иve returned to Quebec. Since then, she has illustrated over 30 picture books, many of which have been translated into other languages. Genevi├иve uses a variety of techniques in her art and plays with texture and the transparency of different mediums to create unique images. She lives with her family in Saint-Lambert on the south shore of Montreal.
