Reverend Beverly Denise Thomas is a pastor, evangelist, television producer, writer, and celebrated author. Reverend Thomas is the founder and senior pastor of A Passion for Christ Ministries in Chicago, Illinois, which has been established for more than seventeen years, and has been serving at the same location for more than sixteen years. Reverend Thomas has been preaching for more than twenty-five years. The gospel is spread through tapes, music, television, skits, and literature all over the city, state, and abroad. Reverend Thomas has taken three missionary journeys throughout South Africa, spreading the redemptive message of Jesus Christ. The Light Still Shines (PFC) broadcast is produced and directed by Reverend Thomas and is broadcasted weekly on WJYS-62 television each Saturday morning. Please check your local listing for viewing times in your area. Reverend Thomas, prior to pastoring at A Passion for Christ Ministries, was associate minister and evangelist at three other churches. She has received such awards from South Shore United Methodist Church in Chicago, Illinois, for supporting Handel’s Messiah. Pastor Thomas received a certificate in journalism for Roosevelt University in Chicago and took part in an internship in Clinical Pastoral Education at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Department of Pastoral Services and Education. She received her Certificate of Ordination after completing theological courses at the Ernest Angley Bible College in Akron, Ohio. In addition to this current work, Reverend Thomas has published five other books, which are listed at the end of this book. Through such ministries as Cater-the-Word, Reverend Thomas is reaching those who are unable to come out to the church. One of her greatest emphasis is on the youth, through such programs as the Teen Forum.
