Acerca de este libro electrónico

This novel, set in the sun-drenched landscape of Plantation, Florida, in 2007, introduces you to Nina DeRio, a sixteen-year-old navigating the complexities of high school, a challenging relationship, and life with Cerebral Palsy. Her story unfolds through her own eyes, providing an intimate look into her emotional and physical experiences. We are given an honest portrayal of the everyday challenges she faces, her struggles with self-esteem, and her unwavering faith in God, even in the darkest of times. The presence of faith is not just a backdrop but an integral part of who Nina is and how she overcomes the abuse she endures. Nina's relationship with her boyfriend, Rex, is portrayed as toxic and abusive, highlighting the insidious nature of such

relationships. However, a shift happens with the arrival of Ezra, whose faith and compassion provide a stark contrast to Rex’s behavior. Ezra represents a beacon of hope, his

unwavering belief in God offering Nina solace and support as she embarks on a journey of healing and self-discovery.

Their relationship transcends the typical young adult romance, delving into the depths of faith, healing, and forgiveness. The inclusion of Nina’s disability isn’t just a plot device, but rather an integral part of her story. It will explore the everyday challenges, both emotional and physical, that she faces while highlighting her strength and determination. The narrative carefully avoids the pitfalls of pity or romanticization, instead focusing on the authentic experiences of a young woman living with Cerebral Palsy.

The story isn't simply a romance; it is a journey of faith, self-discovery, and healing, set against the vibrant backdrop of Florida in 2007 and culminating in a transformative pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Prepare to be moved by Nina's story, to be challenged by the complexities of her relationship, and to be inspired by the unwavering power of her faith.
