Acerca del autor

J. B. Dawson was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Aurora State University. She would write while in collage but never got into the field of Journalism. She ended up helping inner city children as a Social Work. In her twenties, she had a beautiful son Adero. When you have children, you have to be able to take care of them. She had to make more money so she took a job as a police officer. She was a Black female in a White dominated Chicago Police Department. She realized that this job was not for a Black woman. After 16 years, she said screw this and left. She moved south with her son, two beautiful grandsons Ahymr, Amari, and began to write. She thought about her experience as a Black female cop. Black in Blue the murder mystery was born.
