Simple Gospel, Simply Grace: How Your Christian Life Is Really Supposed to Work

I received my copy after a donation to Basic Gospel and to my surprise it came with an autograph from the author which was a bonus. Midway review. Reading on Page 103. Reading I have understood that knowing does not equal understanding. Only letting the Holy Spirit change us will there truly be any real change in us, or we work in vain by our own efforts. Christianity is not a self improvement program and cannot be done with human effort. That God's love from start to finish is simply by Grace. Grace begins the process of the father in us thru Jesus. Page 77 says "When you put your full weight of trust in the gospel, you get him. And with him, every thing changes". When reading this you ask yourself where am I putting my trust in myself or in the creator. This is not to book to read and put on the shelf, but rather to read and meditate on the message. Simple Gospel, Simply Grace - Grace has a name JESUS. I encourage you to read this book. Full review to follow. Full review. after reading the rest of the book, I can only continue to recommend it. The second half of the book was understanding that forgiveness is needed to move forward, however that forgiveness is also a work from God in us and work of the Holy Spirit. Bob's book make it so simple to understand that the law shows us what is going on but it cannot fix. Grace however shows you in a loving way what needs to be corrected and then proceeds to correct it. Grace is enough, Christ needs to be perfect and He is. We do not and can never be perfect, which is great news. We just need to trust, put our faith in and rest in what Jesus did. Favorite quote from the book is rejoice not so much that I know God but that God knows me. Thanks for Bob's ministry and the everyone at Basic Gospel Radio.

Wow! What a beautifully written book about the grace of God! You don't want to pass this one up. It's a must read - - for everyone. Written by a man you'll feel you've been friends with for a long time, he writes in a very simple, intimate, easy to understand, conversational way about the grace of God that he is very passionate about. And you'll know why as you read this book! It's because the grace of God is the Gospel, quite simply. That's why it's called Good News! The closing few chapters provide perhaps the strongest finish to any book I've read in a long time. I cannot recommend this one highly enough. Hey, God's grace has accomplished quite a lot for you and me. Bob Christopher will help you understand that in this very fine book, and when you've finished it you'll not only be enjoying the benefit's grace has provided, you'll be rushing to tell everyone you know!
