When CD Sanders dives into the Lamir Universe, she changes the laws of physics known to us. The world of Lamir, like many others, is quite similar to the Earth. But only Lamir provides a refuge for a large number of creatures with paranormal abilities. Hork, the founder of their community, has to bear a lot of misery in order to find them and rally like-minded people round him. Since his major concern is to save the normal creatures of all known worlds from catastrophes. When Lamir himself faces the greatest threat in the history of the Society of the Gifted due to Lutec, the Relentless, Hork gets help from his old friend Tobias Falk. The almost immortal man who only ages when he dies is an important ally in the fight for Lamir.
CD Sanders describes in her short story why it is so important for Hork to bring with his trained teams relief to a universe of chaos in times of the greatest distress.
