Scientists call these fundamental physical constants. People think these constants stay the same everywhere in the universe and don't change over time. They're not just features of the basic particles that make up all stuff. The speed of light is the fastest anything can go, while the fine-structure constant shows how strong electromagnetic forces are. Knowing these constants helps us describe the physical world . By looking at their exact values from different experiments, we can check if our big physics theories work and fit together.
