About the author

Carole Foot has been obsessed with imagining other worlds and realities since before she could read and write. She firmly believes that life is too short to be held back by convention and that anything is possible. Her vivid imagination is captured in her stories, she hopes will encourage people of all ages to enjoy reading.

Carole is passionate about literacy and its power in life, which has been the story of her own journey. Having had a modest childhood in Australia, she excelled in a career as a doctor, specialising in Critical Care Medicine, before deciding to take the plunge and pursue her love of writing.

She is the co-author of picture books for young readers and a magical realism series for older children, teen and adult fantasy readers called Geo the Space Explorer.

Liz Hickson knew as a small child that the secret to a happy fulfilled life was one that comprised lots of travel to faraway lands and many dogs. It is no surprise that she now finds herself the author of fiction books for all ages inspired by her many real travel adventures and the Chocolate Labradors who continue to be a constant source of joy and reliability.

From her childhood in The United Kingdom, to a high-powered career in clinical medicine that took her to Australia, she is now in a chapter where she seeks to make a difference in the world through creating books to foster literacy and the joy of reading.

Her writing partnership with Carole Foot began when they were still practicing doctors. Their transition into fiction writing is an exciting new chapter.
