About the author

Manas Chatterji is Professor of Management and Adjunct Professor in Economics and the Asian and Asian-American Studies Program at Binghamton University, State University of New York. He was also an Honorary Distinguished Professor at the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta and George Mason University, USA. He is an elected member of the Committee on Regional Planning of the Polish Academy of Science, and is a Fellow of Economists for Peace and Security. He is currently the co-editor of the International Journal of Peace Economics and Peace Science, and the general editor of Contributions to Conflict Management, Peace Economics and Development. He has authored and edited more than thirty books and published about 80 scholarly articles.

Chen Bo is Dean and Professor at the Institute of Defense Economics and Management at the Central University of Finance and Economics, China. His research interests include defense economics, economy and national security, strategy and conflict, war and finance, international political economics, the defense industry, and military spending. He is an editorial advisory board member of the International Journal of Development and Conflict and Conflict Management, Peace Economics and Development. His publications include National Defense Economics Thought (2014) and The Frontiers of National Defense Economics (2010), and his articles have appeared in such journals as Defense and Peace Economics and China Military Science.
