Deriving from a special issue on "China Watching" (Journal of China Tourism Research), this book presents the readers with a collection of seven independent research reports that adopt cross-cultural communication and cultural studies approaches to China tourism. Honggen Xiao, PhD., is Assistant Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests include knowledge development, leisure and society, and tourism and culture.

Mimi Li, PhD., is Assistant Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests include tourism planning, destination marketing, consumer behaviour in hospitality and tourism, and China tourism.
