About this ebook

From the Sunday Times bestselling author comes the seventh instalment of the Robert Hunter series...

Seven days after being abducted, the body of a twenty-year-old woman is found on a green patch of grass by the Los Angeles International Airport. She has been left with her limbs stretched out and spread apart, placing her in a five-point human star.

The autopsy reveals that she had been murdered in a most terrible way. But the surprises don't end there.

Detective Robert Hunter, who leads LAPD's Special Section, Ultra Violent Unit, is assigned the case. But almost immediately a second body turns up. Hunter knows he has to be quick.

Surrounded by new challenges as every day passes, Detective Hunter finds himself chasing a monster. A predator whose past hides a terrible secret, whose desire to hurt people and thirst for murder can never be quenched - for he is DEATH.

Was a bit slow, took me nearly 2 weeks to finish, took long for the book to start getting interesting and too me, it finished off rather anticlimactic. (Spoiler) The so called twist was just annoying in the end, the killer is not the killer you are initially reading about. But actually one of the captures.

Read this from start to finish in one day. Had to find out the ending. A true horror, sucks you in to the story. Impressive story telling. Very descriptive and some parts are quite hard to read, quite graphic. Good read if you like horrors.

The shock effect in this book is painful. I admit I couldn't get through some scenes and had to skim-read, like closing your eyes when watching a disturbing horror movie scene. However, the end reveal and lack of plot holes gives it a 5 star from me.
