An der Forschungsstelle für Humanethologie in der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft analysierte die Autorin das Blick- und Sprachverhalten von 100 Paaren, die sich in ihrem Leben zum ersten Mal sahen. Sie ging damit dem Phänomen der "Liebe auf den ersten Blick" zum ersten Mal wissenschaftlich nach.
