About the author
Dennis Kavanagh, editor of the first edition, is Emeritus Professor of Politics at the University of Liverpool. Christopher Riches, editor of the revised first edition and this second edition, has worked in publishing for over 30 years, both for Oxford University Press and for HarperCollins Publishers. His particular expertise is in reference publishing.
