Having been a California kid my entire life, I was raised in the San Fernando Valley, moving to the High Sierra town of Bishop at the age of fifteen. Marrying a local boy, we eventually settled in the Mojave Desert. My parents lived there and were just wonderful helpers with our dynamic sons as they grew up over the years. I was able to stay at home until both boys were in kindergarten. My first job was working with learning disabled adults at the community college for nine years; then I began a clerical career with the local school district until my retirement in 2009. Since then I have been learning to quilt and still play piano. In addition to our grandchildren, we have seven dogs that keep us busy, and life is good!
