Charisse and Abram take a much-needed vacation that turns into a fight for survival. The King of the small island nation and an evil Conduit have been at war for years, but now their fight means innocent people are dying. Charisse must learn to use her Conduit powers to save everyone who is being lured to their deaths.

This is the 4th book I've read written by Rebecca Hamilton; I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the second book in the Conduit Series; this is similar to Sleeping Beauty; Charisse and Abram are on the remote island Grimoult but everyone else is leaving the island because there have been a lot of women that are jumping from the island cliff but they aren’t convinced it’s suicide. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Missing the mark. Could have been better This second in series was again quite good but still missed the mark in some ways. I found the characters quite flat though the story wasn't bad at all. It left me feeling disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
