 Mr. and Mrs. Susan and Thomas Parker. We were newly wed and very much in love. It had always been Susan's dream to see the Appalachian mountains and their glorious fall colors so how could I say no? London was so drab in the autumn anyways. Not my first pick but I wanted only her happiness. The wedding had been perfect and I knew the next week would be too. 

The cabin in the woods was remote, secluded, perfect for a twenty-something couple on their honeymoon. 

We had wanted a family together almost since we first met and what better time to start trying? Well, we got what we wanted. Just not exactly the way we thought... 

I shouldn't have had the extra glass of wine that first night. I shouldn't have been driving. If we'd just taken a cab we wouldn't have been pulled over in the middle of the night in the woods. 

And everything would have been different now.
