I bought the Google e-book. It was only $3. I had heard of this from a friend who, like me, is from Escondido, California and thus found it very interesting. I did too, having known some of the people and places that figure into the Escondido part of the author's story. The books offers interesting insights into day-to-day police work. The downside is that, while the author's writing style is OK for this type of book, the text is replete with misspellings and bad grammar. This guy REALLY needs a good editor.
