In 19 Übungsaufgaben wird eine Einführung in die Geräte und Schaltungen der Proportional-Hydraulik gegeben. Zunächst werden einzelne Geräte vorgestellt und deren Einstellungen erprobt. Dies sind Ein- und Zweikanalverstärker, Proportionaldruckventil und 3/4-Wege-Proportionalventil. Dann wird anhand von einigen aufeinander aufbauenden Übungen eine Komplettlösung entwickelt, die folgende Elemente enthält: Eilgang-Vorschubschaltung, NOT-AUS, Ablaufsteuerung mit einer SPS. Jede Übungsaufgabe enthält ausführliche technische und didaktische Erläuterungen sowie eine Lösungsbeschreibung.
