The poems within demonstrate the authors ability to decipher the innermost message that may be eluding us in everyday situations. The authors thoughts are attempts to remove the veil which covers what is so plainly in view. These thoughts bring together the notion that our interpretations of moments that cross our paths have a very common thread. It may take several times to read over each poem to unravel the predicament. As the meaning becomes clearer, there is a sense of the authors vision during the expression of each poem.
About the author
Hailing from a suburb north of Chicago, his experiences laced with Christianity, desegregation, the challenges of interracial relations, combat environments, marriage and fatherhood, the author locked away memories that he is overtly revealing within the covers of this book. Sarcasm along with the manipulation of words have dominated conversations directly and indirectly during all stages of his life. The art of listening exposed the behavior of people in his surroundings and ignited his desire to write.
