About the author

Dr. Darius Liutikas is a Senior Scientific Researcher at the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences in Vilnius, Lithuania. His research focuses on modern and traditional pilgrimage, the sociology and anthropology of tourism, diverse forms of mobility, cultural tourism, sacred places and spaces, and the geography of religions. With over 50 publications in Lithuanian and international academic journals, Dr. Liutikas has made significant contributions to the study of tourism and sacred landscapes.
