These books start "merely" good, then grow better and attain true excellence in the last one. Paladins, in general, aren't my cup of tea, but somehow Dalglish have made awesome, interesting, living characters out of the "holier than thou" stereotypes. Would given a 4, but for the last book which lifts the whole to a 5 (but the preceding ones would probably be necessary reading to get the full worth of the last). I so hate it when a series end at a weak note, but here it ends at its highest.

I also played the interactive novel. This man is a treasure. These tomes at their brightest or darkest are master pieces painting the truth of humanity as well as anything ever written. I will need time to meditate and process much of what I experienced... it was like living many lifetimes at once... it is creative fire like this that guides souls to this plane. Terrible and beautiful at the same time. Divinely inspired. If the universe has guided you here you will undoubtedly be more human after this experience.

I read the series as an interactive novel, I usually can't get absorbed in fiction, this series brought me back to reading for fun, I loved Darius and Jerico and I won't lie I cried a few times reading the series and will definitely be reading more novels produced by David. I'd like to thank the author for making me enjoy reading again
