Diana Dawn’s 4th book instalment of the Whispering Willows series called Gypsy Flower is most definitely one that’s filled with pure and raw emotions as Snow finally gets to meet her sister. In the 3rd instalment, Snow’s happiness was mainly rooted from finally being married to Mitch. However, in this 4th instalment, Snow’s happiness is mainly rooted from finally being reunited with her long-lost sister that she didn’t even know she had until recently when she learned of her sister’s existence through a letter from her late father. Even better, it turns out that Snow’s sister is a gypsy! Kudos to the author for thinking of that one! In addition, I love how the author allows us to discover new musical instruments as well. I mean, I had to Google what a psaltery, dulcimer, and mute cornett looked like in order for me to visualize the scenes which included these musical instruments as well. I love it when authors go out of their way to do their own research about certain things in order to spread awareness and educate their audiences about anything and everything they find interesting because like the author, I also found these musical instruments interesting to the point where I had to go on Youtube as well to be able to hear how they sound like. I could totally relate as I had also played the flute with an orchestra/band class in school for 6 years, so I totally loved the experience of being able to Google and Youtube these instruments. In this instalment, it was so cute when Mitch felt jealous towards Snow’s sister because Snow always spent time with her sister as much as she could to make up for the lost time. In the end, Mitch and Snow were able to sort things out and figure things out for themselves with regards to their marriage because they are too in love and they’re never going to give up that easily on each other but it’s still cute when Mitch and Snow have these fights because we all know that they’ll stay together forever no matter what happens until death do they part. Snow’s sister, Lily, also experienced love triangles in this series because she’s as equally lovable as her sister though they may have their slight differences, they’re both really good people nonetheless. It’s also extremely nice that the author added some real-world traumatic experiences that can be experienced by anyone and the author clearly painted a visual of the repercussions or after-effects of the traumas that a victim may experience afterwards and it’s a very real and serious thing that millions of people experience which is why the #MeToo movement has become so meaningful, purposeful, and powerful in our society today. The author certainly brought such issues to light with one of the main characters in the story and I think that’s amazing because we need to teach society to be more empathetic and sympathetic to everyone who has suffered any form of abuse whether it’s physical, emotional, psychological, verbal, etc. The ending was a cliffhanger as usual since this is a series but the truth of the matter is that regret always comes at the end. Let’s just hope that for this character’s sake that this is not the end. I guess, we’ll have to go on to the next book and see what awaits the future of this character who is in a huge mess and a huge trouble! I can’t wait to find out more about what's in store for this person. Let’s go find out by reading Chapter 5 with me! Come on, everybody! Let’s do it together. Overall, this was such a great book as usual coming from one of the most amazing authors ever! Of course, the quality of her writing is superb as usual!
