About this ebook

The 14th edition of this practice-proven standard work on court costs considers the numerous impacts on the GKG/FamGKG since the previous edition resulting from the:
• Act on legal protection from excessively long legal proceedings and criminal investigations
• Act to promote mediation and other procedures for extra-legal conflict resolution (Mediation Act)
• Carbon storage law (KSpGEG)
• Act to reform the Capital Markets Model Case Act and to amend other procedures
• Act to introduce legal remedies information in civil procedures and to amend other procedures (RechtsBehEG)
• Act for federal implementation of the distance rules in the law of protective detention (StGBuaÄndG)
• Act for reform of findings in foreclosure proceedings
and, of course, especially as a result of the numerous changes in the 2nd legal costs modernization act that came into force on 1 July 2013. The latter has had numerous effects on the legal costs act, some of which also impacted the structure of the GKG/FamGKG. The 14th Edition elucidates the current standards with an analysis of the literature and (in part unpublished) case law up to the time that the reforms came into force. The section on claims amounts communicates the revised catalogue of claim amounts for the social court jurisdiction, and the claims amounts for all jurisdictions in the annexes to §§ 48 52 GKG (Legal Costs Act) have been fundamentally revised and expanded.
