For centuries English has assimilated words from other languages. Julian Walker offers a treasury of word histories, showing the variety of ways in which the words we use have evolved. Acerca del autor
Julian Walker is an artist and writer and a former EFL teacher, the author of The Nelson Practice Book of Phrasal Verbs; he is a workshop-leader at the British Library, specialising in the English language and early books.
