Jeanne is only a shepherd's daughter, not the Warrior Maid of the prophecy, but she is stubborn and rebellious, and finds ways to avoid doing - and being - what these creatures want. Resistance has a terrifying price, but Jeanne is determined to fight for the life she wants.
But when the cost grows too high, Jeanne will risk everything to save the three people she loves most in all the world.

Acerca del autor
Jaime Lee Moyer lives in a dry land of cactus and cowboys while dreaming of tall trees and the ocean. She writes novels about murder and betrayal, friendship, ghosts and magic. She is the author of Brightfall, a reimagining of the Robin Hood legend, also published by Jo Fletcher Books. She won the Literary Award for Fiction for her debut novel, Delia's Shadow, which was followed by sequels A Barricade In Hell and Against A Brightening Sky.
