About this ebook

Rather than a dense, chronological overview of the war, Windows on World War I takes readers on an eccentric and exciting journey through extraordinary, heroic and seminal episodes, from the tale of an angst-ridden assassin who started the war and the Christmas truce of 1914 to the flu epidemic that ended the conflict after 15 million people died. Same in format to the others in the series with 24 amazing stories linked by one-page summaries that skim over the boring parts.
