El Dr. E. W. Kenyon (1867–1948) nació en Saratoga County, Nueva York. A los diecinueve años de edad predicó su primer sermón. Pastoreó varias iglesias en Nueva Inglaterra y fundó el Instituto Bíblico Bethel en Spencer, Massachusetts.
