Blood on the River: James Town, 1607

This story is told in such a clean and then simple way that held me on from the beginning. About the life of Samuel, he seems like a good side of the view to tell the start of Virginia in. However, it seems to have a weird ending, where it really should not have ended there, when the Starving Time is over. Overall a good $5.99 value book

Amazing book. I actually received this book in the eighth grade (this year) to read for my U.S. History class. It has a perfect combination of facts and dialogue. It isn't a super long book, only about 250 pages, but it still is extremely interesting. It only took me about 2 days to read and I absolutely loved every second spent reading it. The characters (most being nonfictional) are both dynamic and static, and they make the book as awesome as it is. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone. It is both a great tale, that still has real events from our history. I just love it.

I read it with my class mates and teacher and it was AMAZING ITS kinda boring at first but once u get into it its really good and knowledgeable,it helps you learn about James town(or James towne)and how they survive and delt with natives!
