Lot is au pair bij de familie Pastisse in Parijs en ze heeft het er erg naar haar zin. Ze heeft een heus Frans vriendje en ze is druk bezig met het maken van haar eigen film Een zomer in Parijs. Dan hoort Lot van haar Duitse vriendin Katrin dat er in Berlijn een internationaal filmfestival georganiseerd wordt voor jongeren: Under[ground]20. Er komen belangrijke mensen uit de filmindustrie op af, die op zoek zijn naar fris en nieuw talent. Ook is er een competitieprogramma aan het festival verbonden. Lot is door het dolle heen. Hoe ze het voor elkaar gaat krijgen weet ze nog niet, maar zij moet hoe dan ook naar Berlijn!
