Gavin Blackstock, a former Navy Seal, is restless. He loves working with horses on the ranch, but is unsatisfied with his personal life. He wants what several of his friends have found...love, family, and children. While he truly believes no one could love an “incomplete” man, he still dreams of a happily ever after. Gavin has found once women find out he’s missing a leg, they lose interest. So his friend, Lori, posts an ad seeking a mail order bride on his behalf. Princess Olivia St. George of Lastovia is in desperate need of a husband. In order to become Queen, Olivia (Aurelia), must marry and produce an heir by the age of thirty...She has less than a year. Every time she becomes engaged, her fiancés die “unexpectedly”. Going by the name Aurelia, she responds to Gavin’s ad and heads to Montana. She doesn’t really believe this will be her HEA, but hopes Gavin will provide her with an heir. This is my first Mail Order Bride, insta-love novel and I LOVED it! Gavin and Aurelia were a perfect match! After losing his leg in combat, Gavin felt unworthy of love. Aurelia saw the real Gavin and accepted him for who he was. Gavin provided Aurelia with a sense of safety, belonging, and family that she had been missing since the unexpected deaths of her family. At the ranch, Aurelia was free to enjoy activities, horses, etc that she no longer made time for in Lastovia. The sniper and suspense had me on edge! I can’t wait to find out what’s in store for Lori! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Montana SEAL's Mail-Order Bride is the twelfth book in the Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James. Gavin Blackstock thought he would be a career SEAL, but that didn't happen when his last mission left him missing part of one leg. Now at the age 35 and living on the Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch in Montana he is feeling like he is missing out on falling in love and someday having a family. When one of the other residents puts his application online looking for a mail-order bride, Gavin is really surprised when women actually respond to it. Olivia Aurelia St. George has to find a husband and produce an heir by her 30th birthday, but both of her fiances have died before they had been able to marry. Olivia, her best friend and her bodyguard all believe that her life is in danger also and think she should go away until things settle down. The only problem is she also must find a husband so when her friend finds the add for a mail-order bride online they all believe it is the perfect plan. Gavin and Olivia realize they are attracted to each other right away, but if they are to marry they want to like each other also so spending time getting to know one another is important. Olivia however feels that their marriage should at least be based on trust, if not love and starts to feel guilty about not telling Gavin the truth. When she finally does it might be too late because the danger has found her in Montana. I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
