Dorchadas House: a 1940s Gothic mystery, set on an isolated Scottish island

i'll start by stating i love the writings of the author and her book master of the moor is one of my favorites. This book didnt disappoint though its a different feel. A gothic mystery at its best with the creepy old house/mansion, secrets galore, the characters which were strange which only added to the sense of mystery all on a spooky old island. Within the storyline you just felt a sense of horror with the rituals. I definitely recommend this read. The storyline had me hooked from page 1. i didnt want to put it down... & the details that we're given makes us feel like were part of the story. Wonderful Job!!! Emmanuelle de Maupassant writes the most amazing historical books. Dorchadas house is her latest and one of her best. There is so much i want to type about this Gothic haunted and haunting book. I have sat on the edge of my seat, whilst making sure I didn't miss a word. The book was exciting, the characters were amazing and had strong personalities.
