La Sinfonia delle Campane è una composizione per cinque gruppi percussivi che utilizzano 115 strumenti, alcuni di tipo tradizionale, altri costruiti con materiali poveri. La scelta dei timbri nasce dagli studi sullo strumento campana effettuati nel Cilento antico e nella città di Stoccolma mentre gli aspetti poliritmici e multipulsativi costituiscono lo sviluppo di alcune rivoluzionarie intuizioni del compositore statunitense Conlon Nancarrow. La prima esecuzione, diretta dall'Autore, ebbe luogo nell'Auditorium Nervi di Stoccolma nel novembre del 2002.
