I have read most of this author's work. Her usual books lean toward rom com. This was a huge departure from her norm and I loved it. Lots of mystery and intrigue, a few unexpected twists without being dark and oppressive. It still has her signature snarky dialogue though. I don't read many gothic novels because they're too dark and depressing for me. The balance in this book was perfect!

Wonderful, spellbinding and so well written it was impossible to put this page turner down. Susan and the elusive Evan fight the inner passion and deny the attraction that simmers until it boils over into an undeniable love.

Loved the book very much. Mixed of all romance, suspense ,thriller .oh, liked the story. I have read your first book which was also very good and this is my second book of your which is also so well written. And thank you❤.
