Ernst Baltrusch war bis zu seiner Emeritierung 2021 Professor für Alte Geschichte an der Freien Universität Berlin. Neben Sparta bilden das griechische Völkerrecht und die Geschichte der Juden in der Antike seine Forschungsschwerpunkte.
