When you read anything written by Ethan Jones featuring one of his covert operative characters you know what you’ll get; action, fascinating characters, tense life threatening situations and twists and turns you likely won’t see coming because it all happens at breakneck speed. In this, Carrie’s fourth outing, things are just as we’d want from this author. A mission gone awry and a team betrayed lead Carrie on her own personal mission for vengeance. There’s action all the way with the pace never letting up but for me the best was when things moved to Europe. The action scenes there were immensely entertaining. This author never fails to give his readers exactly what they want with action scenes, neatly woven stories and even a dash of romance this time. It all adds up to a fun addictive book that I’m happy to recommend.

I was so nervous reading Carrie Chronicles #4, clenching my jaws! I couldn’t stop my eyes from welling up, the unfairness and cruelty..I hate these greedy governments, hate these militias! What kind of a life is it? Of both sides? The innocent, civil people, and the power thirsty, money greedy, cruel, corrupt and evil people? There’s nothing to gain, because even between themselves there’s no trust, to live always looking behind your back..? Horrible! The series is written so fantastically, based on real facts, Jones makes a wonderful job highlighting the tough lives of secret operatives with suicidal missions, of journalists who risk their lives to bring us the upmost horrifying news from distant, deprived and corruption filled countries, adding his touch of master storyteller. Also showing us the true and vivid aspect of the living conditions of the people in these type of countries. Action filled, profound, no nonsense plot, the storyline and characters-both the good and bad guys-stand out admirably. It’s a thought provoking, humbling and fast paced story, emotive in its context. Carrie and her team may look and act fearless and tough, but are soft hearted and sometimes they do what their hearts guide them to do, going against their superiors and their better judgement. It’s what makes them human. There are unexpected twists that makes the story very interesting and exciting! It has been an eye opener, thrilling and exciting experience! Another series by excellent author Ethan Jones that I highly recommend!

Unknown Operative is the fourth book in the "A Carrie Chronicles Spy Thriller" and is a compelling thriller. I loved this book and the character of Carrie O'Connor. She is fierce, strong, and intelligent, vowing to find her friend's child who was kidnapped along with a busload of children. This book is fast-paced and action-packed, with espionage, violence, death, terrorists, and will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I can't wait to read more books in this exciting action series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
