Saksalaissyntyinen Roman Schatz on median moniottelija ja Suomen kansalliskirjailija. Kirjailija on asunut Suomessa vuodesta 1986. Hän on naurattanut suomalaisia (ja ärsyttänyt tiukkapipoisimpia) paitsi kirjoillaan ja kolumneillaan myös lukuisilla tv-tuotannoillaan. Schatzin kaksikielinen esikoiskirja Suomesta, rakkaudella – From Finland, with Love saavutti suuren suosion myös Suomesta ja suomalaisuudesta ulkomaalaisille annettavana perustietopakettina.
