Hans-Georg Geyer (1929-1999) war Philosoph im Umkreis der Frankfurter Schule und systematischer Theologe unter dem Einfluss von Karl Barth. In den Jahrzehnten vom Mauerbau bis zur Wiedervereinigung hat er an fünf Hochschulstandorten viele Studierende mit seinen Vorlesungen geprägt und den Weg der Kirchen begleitet. This volume presents the conference results of a working group gathered by Henning Theißen who pioneers future research on Geyer's teaching and scientific works. Exploring Geyer's literary remains, the authors reconstruct the vivid intellectual and sociocultural contexts in which Geyer's theology is situated. The scientific edition of four hitherto unpublished sermons adds a widely unknown perspective to the protrait of Geyer.
