PAUL: A Servant of Jesus Christ

Frederick Brotherton Meyer – Annotated and Updated by Christian Publishing House

Step into the life of the apostle Paul—a man transformed by divine calling, shaped through suffering, and set apart to proclaim the risen Christ to the world. In this classic work, renowned devotional writer F. B. Meyer opens a vivid portrait of Paul’s journey from devout Pharisee to fearless apostle. Drawing deeply from Paul’s own letters and the historical accounts of Acts, Meyer provides rich insight into the apostle’s inner life, spiritual convictions, and enduring purpose.

This updated and annotated edition brings Meyer’s timeless reflections into the present day. Archaic language has been replaced with clear, contemporary expression, and all Scripture references use the English Standard Version. Spelling, grammar, and historical clarity have been revised for today’s reader—while retaining every chapter, paragraph, and depth of the original work.

Readers will follow Paul through his dramatic conversion, his early shaping in Tarsus and Jerusalem, his Spirit-led ministry to Jew and Gentile, and his unwavering dedication to the cause of Christ. From the quiet of Arabia to the courts of Caesar, Paul’s life unfolds with spiritual urgency and bold faith.

Whether you are a student of Scripture, a pastor, or a thoughtful Christian seeking deeper understanding, this book will challenge and inspire you to live fully for the One who called Paul—and calls us all—to a life of service and surrender.
