Malachy and Abby share a past that resulted in a pregnancy that they agreed to give the child up for adoption. When He accepts a demotion to put his life back in order he reconnects with Abby and learns that she didn't give when he learns their child up. Malachy is angry when he sees his son. Will he and Abby be able to rekindle their past and move forward as they navigate their path to happiness. This heart felt story drew me in and had me connecting with them. The prequel to the Love in Cedar Valley series set in a small town Mission City in British Columbia, Canada. Royal Canadian Mounted Police Constable Malachy Corcoran leaves his job and moves to Mission City. Were he meets Abigail Reardon who he has not seen since they broke up years ago. Their story has drama, danger, suspense, a second chance, getting to know his ten year old son Matthew and romance. The story has a good storyline, strong characters and was well worth reading.

The Absolution of Abigail Reardon by Gabbi Powell is a good, and enjoyable single parent small town police office second chance romance read. The story has a great entertaining world building story line with an easy to read story line. The characters are great, wonderful, and they have great chemistry.
