DIAGONAL 2022 ruft »Erinnerung« als Thema unterschiedlichster wissenschaftlicher Disziplinen auf. Memory shapes the daily actions of individuals, groups and entire societies. How essential it is to look back can be imagined when one sees the consequences of its disappearance, for example as a result of dementia. Everyday things are recalled as well as past events, the activation of which in the memory serves for self-assurance, identity stabilization and localization in time. What is remembered or not to be remembered is never fixed once and for all in groups, but is constantly renegotiated before it is transferred into diverse structures of commemoration. DIAGONAL 2022 calls upon "memory" as a topic of the most diverse academic disciplines.
