About the author
Gillian Shields combines her passion for both books and theatre by writing stories and teaching drama. She takes huge inspiration from her experience as a drama teacher, and has written many picture and fiction books for children of all ages including William's Winter Wish and Ben and The Littlest Bear. Gillian lives in Sussex with her husband and two children - but definitely no ugly sisters.
Berengere Delaporte grew up and trained in France, where she continues to live today. She has illustrated over thirty books for children which have published in several countries and been translated into many languages.
