Hot, sexy, lots of dirty talk. :-) This is the first book that I’ve read by Gina Gordon and I enjoyed it very much. Violet was injured in a car accident. Because she has always been admired for her looks, the scarring from her accident has knocked her confidence flat. She won’t allow anyone to see her scars, not even those who love her most. She has a high-profile job in a man’s world so she took a leave of absence to get herself back together. Noah Young is living next door to Violet and he knows she’s been watching him. Violet can’t seem to help herself from lusting over her hunky neighbor. Noah finally introduces himself in a very inventive way (no spoilers – you have to read it for yourself – lol). Violet’s love life was very vanilla but she longs to experiment and Noah is more than willing to help. They agree to a temporary relationship as Violet knows she must soon get back to her real life in the city. What begins as an experiment soon begins to feel like something more – but can they really have more? The writing is very descriptive and hot, hot, hot. At times I felt that the story dragged a bit in places but none-the-less I very much enjoyed reading it. There is a rich cast of secondary characters in this book and I very much hope that they each get their own story. This book contains strong language and hot sexy times. If you can’t handle that you might want to give it a pass. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Noah knows his neighbor Violet, has been spying on him for a while. So he decides it’s time to meet her. He “falls” off his roof. Of course this brings Violet running to see if he was all right. Violet has been hiding ever since an accident claimed the life of her fiancé. Not only is she scarred emotionally, but also physically. She realizes she cannot hide out forever. She knows she has to go back to the real world and take over as CEO of her father’s construction company. But in the meantime, Noah and Violet agree to a short term causal relationship. In fact they don’t even tell each other their last names. The chemistry between them is hot. While it was a little difficult to connect to Violet, I loved Noah, his family and friends, especially Harper. Noah knows Violet is holding back. Because he is falling for her, he is willing to wait for her to let him in on her secrets. They both have some self-esteem issues; Noah because he is a blue collar worker Violet because of her physical scars. I love how Harper was able to finally get Violet to like herself the way she is. I look forward to her story. This is a standalone book and is a lesson about loving yourself no matter what you look like or what you doing for a living. While this book did not blow me away, overall a solid story.

A fantastic read that is the beginning of what looks like a fantastic new series. While I enjoyed Noah and Violet's story, I'm already looking forward to Harper's story. That's how great all the characters are in this one. This story is filled with emotion and takes a hard look at how we view ourselves as well as each other. Definitely leaves you with lots to think about. Naked is the last thing Violet Walker wants to be. After a tragic car accident left her scarred both physically and emotionally, she been reclusive and withdrawn. Her one form of entertainment is watching the sexy guy next door. When he catches her looking, she decides that maybe he would make for a great distraction as long as things don't get too serious. Best laid plans...... This is one I highly recommend.
