Die klassisch-arabische Philologie hat wichtige Konzepte in verschiedensten sprachwissenschaftlichen Bereichen hervorgebracht. Diese Ansätze haben in der islamischen Hermeneutik eine Textlinguistik etabliert, die verschiedene Textperspektiven erschließt und das Sinnpotential des Textes in vielschichtiger Gestalt darlegt. Eine transformierende und funktionale Lektüre dieser Tradition kann nur durch den Rückgriff auf die diskursanalytischen Methoden der modernen Linguistik bewerkstelligt werden. Vor allem die pragmatischen Paradigmen der Sprechakttheorie können einen wichtigen Beitrag zur arabisch-philologischen und islamtheologischen Forschung leisten. Eine solche Synthese aus der arabischen Sprachtradition und der modernen Linguistik öffnet neue Perspektiven in der Sprachwissenschaft. Classical Arabic philology produced significant concepts in various linguistic areas. Within Islamic hermeneutics those approaches established text linguistics that open up diverse perspectives on the text and propound potential meanings in a multifaceted way. A transformational and functional reading of that tradition can only be accomplished by referring to discourse analytical methods of modern linguistics. Mainly the pragmatic paradigms of speech act theory add to Arabic philological and Islam theological research. A synthesis of Arabic language tradition and modern linguistics may open up new perspectives.
