About the author
Helwig Schmidt-Glintzer ist Seniorprofessor an der Eberhard-Karls-Universität und Direktor des China Centrum Tübingen. Er hat seit 1981 an ostasienwissenschaftlichen Lehrstühlen in München und Göttingen gelehrt und war bis 2015 Direktor der Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel.
