關於這本電子書

When studying any subject, it is essential to understand its foundational principles. For example, in the field of medicine, one must first explore its history. The history of medicine is crucial for several reasons: it helps us understand the present, learn from the past, uncover processes, increase life expectancy, evolve medical practices, broaden our knowledge, cultivate skepticism, remind us that medicine is inherently social, promote a deeper understanding of professional identity, challenge assumptions, and prepare us for the future.

A thorough examination of the history of medical science allows us to not only recognize the advancements in medicine but also to understand periods of stagnation or regression. This knowledge is invaluable, as learning from past mistakes can help prevent future errors.

This book consists of 23 chapters, which explore the history of medicine across various traditions, including Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, and Allopathy. It covers the medical history of 22 countries, highlighting the development of these different medical systems. The inspiration for writing this book came from my daughters, Manasi and Mahima. I hope this work will serve as a valuable resource for doctors, enhancing their understanding of the roots of medicine. Additionally, I trust it will increase awareness among the general public.
