Very interesting books, covering basic theory of military expenditures, providing detailed data on Persian Gulf military expenditures, and policy relevant issues. Theory and Data part (chapters 2-6) is stronger than policy/discussion chapters. Strongly recommend the book to students/scholars focusing on Persian Gulf or larger MENA region.
