About the author

Hugh Francis Anderson is a writer specializing in adventure and the environment. He is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a contributing editor for both Oceanographic Magazine and Sidetracked Magazine, and the adventure correspondent for I-M Intelligent Magazine. He has contributed to numerous national and international publications, including National Geographic UK, The Sunday Times, and Lonely Planet, and has recorded dispatches for BBC Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent. In 2019, he was shortlisted for the AITO Young Travel Writer of the Year Award. Hugh currently lives in Tromsø, Arctic Norway, with a retired Alaskan Husky sled dog named Gull.
