Ian Parker and David Pavón-Cuéllar have divided the book into three main sections. Ian Parker is a practising psychoanalyst in Manchester, Honorary Professor in Education at the University of Manchester and Visiting Professor in Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck, University of London. He is the author of Lacanian Psychoanalysis: Revolutions in Subjectivity (Routledge, 2011).
David Pavón-Cuéllar is Professor of Psychology at Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo in Morelia, Mexico. He has taught psychoanalysis at the University of Paris VIII.
