The author, in an autobiographical document, reveals his thoughts and accusations towards the people and the anti-Semitic governments in Poland in the past and present, who refuse to restore citizenship to those whose ancestors were expelled after the war or murdered in the Holocaust. Of the three million Jews who lived in Poland for a thousand years, not even one remains in Poland today. All the property they accumulated over hundreds of years was nationalized and stolen.

Uri Jerzy Nachimson is a compelling author whose life story and heritage strongly inform his writing. If you are someone interested in Jewish/Polish heritage, identity and migration narratives, or stories that traverse war, memory and cultural change, then his work is highly recommended. His books offer more than pure entertainment: they invite reflection, empathy, and connection to histories that matter.
About the author
Uri Jerzy Nachimson was born in Szczecin, Poland, in 1947, and two years later, his parents immigrated to Israel. In 1966, he was drafted into the Israeli army and served as a photographer in combat during the "Six-Day War." Uri's grandmother, Ida Friedberg, was the granddaughter of the writer A.S. Friedberg and aunt to Isabella Grinievskaya, a well-known Russian writer and poet. In 2008, Uri relocated to Tuscany, Italy, where he lives and writes.
